At Wexford Violin Shop, every rental upright bass is carefully inspected, adjusted, and prepared for comfortable playability, reliable tuning, and responsive sound.

Professionally Set Up and Ready to Play

A properly set up upright bass can make an important difference in a student's learning experience.

Our experienced luthiers carefully inspect and adjust each rental bass, paying attention to the bridge, strings, tuning mechanisms, string height, and overall playability.

Our goal is to provide students with instruments that are comfortable, responsive, and ready for school orchestra, private lessons, and daily practice.

Every rental upright bass receives professional attention before it leaves our workshop.

Simple, Affordable Rental Rates

First 4 Months – $120 TOTAL

Your initial payment of $120 covers the entire first four months of upright bass rental.

This is a special introductory rental payment, not a down payment or refundable deposit.

Maintenance & Damage Protection is included.

Starting Month 5 – $75/Month

Beginning in Month 5, your regular monthly rental payment is $75, including both the instrument rental fee ($50 ) and Maintenance & Damage Protection ($25).

No additional monthly protection plan charge.

Automatic monthly billing begins in Month 5, based on the calendar day of your original payment. If that date does not occur in a particular month, billing takes place on the last day of that month.

Rent-to-Own Program

Our Rent-to-Own program offers families an opportunity to build purchase credit toward a qualifying new upright bass.

90% of eligible instrument rental fees may be applied toward the purchase of a qualifying new instrument.

Purchase credit begins with regular monthly rental payments starting in Month 5 and may accumulate for up to 36 qualifying monthly payments.

The introductory four-month payment does not earn purchase credit. Maintenance & Damage Protection fees, taxes, and other non-rental charges are excluded from credit calculations.

Purchase credit may be applied toward a qualifying new upright bass of equal or greater value, subject to the Rental Agreement.

Credit is nontransferable and must be redeemed within 30 days after the final rental renewal period ends.

Please refer to the Rental Agreement for complete Rent-to-Own terms and eligibility requirements.

Maintenance & Damage Protection Included

We understand that accidents can happen, especially when students are learning to handle and transport large instruments.

Your rental includes qualifying routine maintenance and accidental damage protection, with no additional monthly plan charge.

• First Covered Accidental Damage Incident: Wexford Violin Shop covers 100% of covered repair or replacement costs.

• Subsequent Covered Accidental Damage Incidents: The renter is responsible for 50% of covered repair or replacement costs.

• Routine Maintenance: Qualifying adjustments and repairs are included for rental accounts in good standing.

Loss, theft, intentional damage, and string replacement are not covered.

All coverage is subject to the current Rental Agreement.

If you are unsure which size to choose, we recommend consulting your child's school orchestra teacher or contacting our shop for assistance.

Step 2 – Complete Your Rental Online

Add your upright bass rental to the shopping cart and complete your payment through our secure online checkout.

Enter your student's name and school in the designated checkout fields.

Step 3 – Pay $120 for the First 4 Months

Your initial payment covers the entire four-month introductory rental period.

Step 4 – Professional Setup & Delivery

Our experienced luthiers carefully inspect and prepare your rental upright bass before it is provided to your student.

Choose store pickup or enjoy FREE delivery to participating local schools.

No additional phone call is required for standard school delivery.

Free Upright Bass Size Exchanges

As your student grows, you may exchange your rental upright bass for another available size at no additional size-exchange charge.

Each replacement instrument is professionally inspected and set up before being provided to your student.

Returning Your Rental Upright Bass

You may return your rental upright bass at any time.

Please return the bass, bow, protective bag, and all other rented equipment to Wexford Violin Shop.

We recommend returning your instrument at least four days before your next scheduled billing date to avoid another monthly payment.

The initial four-month rental payment is nonrefundable. Rental payments are made in advance and are not prorated.

Billing continues until the rented equipment has been returned and received by our shop.
